Yesterday we were in a blooming mood ....and we made loads of flowers! There were only four of us and we all got into our task - at times there was silence as we all concentrated on making our blooms!

Sarah concentrating cutting out

See, not a word being spoken, don't think they even notice me and my camera he!he!
Okay, so using a shiny background was a really bad idea but don't you think our flowers look good! Sarah helped out by showing the proper way to make a Hels flower - well she had had the advantage of being taught by the lovely Hels herself how to make one!!
We have plans for using them - so watch this space!
I didn't realise it was so long since I posted on this blog!Hope I can make up for lost time!
If you reading this and you live in the Sale area and would like to spend some time with a group of very nice crafters come along to St Mary's on Moss Lane on Tuesday morning(10 o'clock)
Take care, Chrisx

Owls...
...and other creatures.
On our first day back after the long holiday we set to making owls for the Christmas Fair at church. We met in the Heartbeat Cafe and took advantage of the goodies on offer there!

As you can see we are very tidy workers!
Sarah's busy fingers!
Tina's careful cutting
Nichola's owl had eyes already although he looks rather scary!!
Although we weren't a full group we all managed to progress well. We have already started to adapt this template to make other creatures and to alter the shape and position of wings, eyes etc. so we should have a a really good selection by the time we have finished.
We intend having fun every Tuesday morning between 10 o'clock and 1 o'clock and would love to see you!
We would welcome any comments and thank you for looking, Chris

Welcome to our blog!
Here it is, our brand new blog, up and running just in time for the Summer break LOL! After lots of planning, talking and eating cake, we've got ourselves organised enough to share what we'll be working on week by week (ish, there's always room for spontaneity!), and space on the internet to share that with others too! We all come from different craft backgrounds and have a variety of interests but we're all always up for a challenge or learning something new.
Back in May, Nicola challenged the group to make a collage using only recycled materials. She collected a roof tile, thick gloopy PVA, Polyfilla, sandpaper, slate, tissue paper, broken pots, stones, string, crushed china, an old road atlas. This is Chris' piece and you can read more about the morning on her blog, Pearshaped Crafting.
